The act of giving

The act of giving...blood
The Red Rail is a fashion collection that can only be bought with a gift to someone else, your blood.

The Red Rail Collection was shown during the Amsterdam International Fashion Week in July 2010. The creative process has been supervised by the well-established Dutch fashion designer Claes Iversen and Angelika Groenendijk Wasylewski, founder of YDU. Now, the Red Rail collection will be hanging in the YDU store on the Keizersgracht. You can try it on, feel the wonderful fabrics and choose the item that you like best!

In order to have a chance to receive one of the items as a gift to you, you have to give first.
The Red Rail is a project initiated by stichting nobel with the aim to create a new generation of blood donors and promote "the act of giving". We present a fashion collection that can only be bought with a gift to someone else, your blood.

What a brilliant idea. More and more you see these kind of initiatives, the act of giving, or paying it forward, that's how the world should be "working"...This makes me happy, beauty and generosity going hand in hand, yeey!

Tomorrow

And what tomorrow brings on my blog is yet a surprise..; )
Beaut light. Today is going to be a good day...
And tomorrow as well..

Products with Grace

Herriott grace is a venture of father & daughter based in Canada. They sell small handmade wooden things. Plates, bowls, cutters, spoons etc etc
Wednesday january 19th at 4.00 pm they will have new stock. But you have to be quick, they are sold out immediately...I like that fact, it shows the interest of people for honost, not mass produced and beautiful products. So you better run...
All of the products are made from 100% salvaged wood, are one of a kind and are either hand-carved (spoons) or hand-turned (bowls, mortar & pestles & pedestals) from beginning to end.
