Matt Nash

Matt Nash’s handmade bags are identifiable by their minimalist aesthetic, subtle detail and quiet humor. Prompted by the old wives's tale that a coin gifted with a bag brings the bearer good luck and safety, each bag has a vintage pre-decimal New Zealand coin sewn into the inner pockets. What a great idea, i like....made with lovvve, you can tell...With a nod to utilitarian men's work wear, Matt Nash bags are constructed by hand from oilskin, cotton or over dyed 14oz canvas and lined with fine striped Japanese poplin. All bags are handmade in their Auckland studio.
