Once upon a time...

There was a hotel...

urban chic, creative, beauty for the eye. They call it the ideal combination between comforting and cutting edge..
STORY HOTEL is a smart, stylish and new kind of hotel for today's travelers in the very heart of downtown Stockholm. With a decidedly urban design and innovative touches throughout, you will discover a different kind of hotel experience. We had a very dark voice in the elevator saying what floor you are on...On the second floor he said, "my name is Luca, I live on the second floor" ...I had to laugh soooooooo hard...You remember that song...? I lovvv this kind of humor...more coming up this week...when we crossed Odd Mollies shopping window...

gorgeous bathroom...

Once  upon a time...

there was a great story...maybe two...

I could live there..

Lloyd hotel Amsterdam

Situated in a beautiful old building

LLoyd hotel

peek a boo...

Outdoors there is a big terrace, super nice...

and a little shop...

The first ‘one to five star’ hotel of the world is situated in a revamped 1920s building and is a showcase of Dutch design. The rooms differ in size an design. A nice restaurant with pure, local food, where breakfast is served with home made jams, and cafĂ© latte. There is an extensive library of art books available and a range of cultural activities freely accessible for guests and local people. The hotel is located in the heart of the trendy Eastern Docklands with views over the water and a huge South-facing terrace. Away from the noise of the city, but still only 5 minutes by tram from Central Station.
Good place to stay when visiting...
Happy Monday!

Black butterflies

I just saw this incredible impressive movie, about Ingrid Jonker, a south African poet who lived in the 60 ies . The actors are all brilliant. I hope this movie will cross boarders as the movie does itself and her poems...This is the poem Nelson Mandela read to the people in 1994 during his first speech for the South African parliament.

The child who was shot dead by soldiers at Nyanga

The child is not dead

The child lifts his fists against his mother

Who shouts Afrika ! shouts the breath

Of freedom and the veld

In the locations of the cordoned heart

The child lifts his fists against his father

in the march of the generations

who shouts Afrika ! shout the breath

of righteousness and blood

in the streets of his embattled pride

The child is not dead

not at Langa nor at Nyanga

not at Orlando nor at Sharpeville

nor at the police station at Philippi

where he lies with a bullet through his brain

The child is the dark shadow of the soldiers

on guard with rifles Saracens and batons

the child is present at all assemblies and law-givings

the child peers through the windows of houses and into the hearts

of mothers

this child who just wanted to play in the sun at Nyanga is everywhere

the child grown to a man treks through all Africa

the child grown into a giant journeys through the whole world

Without a pass

This weeks tempation island

My temptation (to buy clothes) for this week would be these Tees for kids and for adults, by Malene Birger for Unicef, I lovvv those initiatives...And the tees are soft and of course the profit goes to Unicef. It not only shows fashion, but it also shows Y

The loo experience...

"NEVER GIVE UP "

No matter what is going on

Never give up

Develop the heart Y

Too much energy in your country

Is spent developing the mind

Instead of the heart Y

Be compassionate

Not just to your friends

But to everyone

Be compassionate

Work for peace

In your heart and in the world

Work for peace

And I say again

Never give up

No matter what is going on around you

Never give up"
