Jet Korine

These "life-coats" are made by Icelandic designer Jet Korine. She uses earthen colours, natural fabrics and skins, dyes and it gives a feel of genuine ethnicity. The materials are all individually dyed and hand sewn, and yet it is infinitely tough and thoroughly capable of enduring the wear and tear of a ‘life’.
As her inspiration for this collection, Jet refers to a Japanese philosophy called Wabi-Sabi mixed with a passion for Talking Heads. Haha...
I believe in synchronicity...things falling together in a certain way...or you just start noticing them...and you think it's a coincidence..well it's not...the synchronicity "thing" happened again with me today...Two days ago i blogged about Rae Dunn and i was reading about her on her website. She wrote about the wabi-sabi philosophy, i never heard of before, i started to look into that. I was surprised, cause it puts in words exactly what i always blog about...i like the imperfect and my need to go back to "things or people should not aim for perfection, instead aim for themselves"...well this is what wabi sabi is all about...the beauty of things imperfect, impermanent, and incomplete. So this is not all...then i stumbled on this gorgeous Icelandic creature and what do you think...Jet refers to a Japanese philosophy called Wabi-Sabi....synchronicity...
I will get into this more...for now winter is coming.......

ooooooh i like this one beneath...
